This year, the TUM Management Alumni eV has once again honored three winners of the TUMgt Alumni Changemaker Awards and ceremoniously presented the awards yesterday evening as part of the TUM Entrepreneurship Day.
The TUMgt Alumni Changemaker Award is given to projects that are characterized by social impact, entrepreneurial spirit and creativity. The winners each receive prize money of up to €2,000, which they can invest in further research and implementation of their projects.
As TUM Management Alumni eV and sponsor of these awards, we are very proud to have this opportunity to support such projects and are excited every year about the numerous projects the students create. The spirit is indescribable, as is the diversity of the projects.
This year, a panel of experts – consisting of Prof. Siddharth Vedula (Chair of Entrepreneurship and Communities), Prof. Claudia Doblinger (Chair of Innovation and Technology Management) and Prof. Frank-Martin Belz (Chair of Corporate Sustainability) – has once again selected the best projects. We are pleased to present this year's winners:
First place goes to Samuel Keitel, Tim Findeiss and Staël Wilfried Tchinda Kuete for Senior Connect, which brings senior professionals together with companies, creating mutual benefits: companies benefit from the extensive experience and wisdom of seniors, while they improve their quality of life and financial independence through meaningful employment.
First Runner-Up: Lisa Christin Zimmermann and Philipp Middendorf with the student advisory service in La Paz, Bolivia. As part of their project studies at the Chair of Strategy and Organization at TUM under the supervision of Professor Isabell Welpe, they have set themselves the goal of establishing the concept of student advisory services in Bolivia and thereby creating social and economic value. This project offers an ideal opportunity to contribute to promoting education in developing countries, to take on responsibility and to gain entrepreneurial experience.
Second runner-up: Sebastian Moosheimer with Workride. Workride is a digital platform that connects companies and their commuting employees with shuttle operators and drivers. Through close collaboration with two TUM institutes, route algorithms have been developed that bring together commuters from different companies. They use employee data and AI-based route generation to identify the most popular routes and predict demand for shuttle services.
We would like to thank all applicants and the jury for their work and achievements and congratulate the winners of the TUMgt Alumni Changemaker Awards 2024!
