For the first time, the student initiative IKOM, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the vbw (Bavarian Industry Association) will jointly award a prize to employers with emphasis on ethical and sustainable entrepreneurship.
The IKOM Award Zukunftsarbeitgeber 2018 will be the first prize in Germany for employers that is awarded by students. With this award, the representatives of IKOM want to bring employers to the fore who are entrepreneurial role models. More and more students and graduated emphasize ethical and sustainable employers. Criteria for the award are the value orientation, sustainability, commitment to Germany as business location, entrepreneurial continuity and good entry and development opportunities for recent graduates. The jury consists of students and representatives of the industry, business ethics, science and society. Amongst others, Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus, Vice Dean of Executive Education at TUM School of Management, will be a member of the jury. The Bavarian Economy Minister Ilse Aigner will assume patronage of the award ceremony that takes place on June 13, 2018 in the TUM jubilee year 2018. The application for the award is open until April 1, 2018.
The IKOM is the largest student initiative in Munich and consists of over 130 voluntary members from the TUM. They organize several career fairs, workshops, seminars and excursions for students at TUM since 1989. Their goal is to promote personal contact between students and companies to facilitate their start into the working life.
