The FIM-Scholarship – Reach your full potential

The Master in Finance & Information Management (FIM) is designed for outstanding talents and offers the chance to study the unique combination of finance and information management. Students learn how to push digital technologies in finance forward and how to deal with Big Data by integrating technologies as well as the methods of financial mathematics in the area of financial contract valuation, risk management and the construction and analysis of investment strategies. The Master’s program enables students to develop their own ideas and connects them with businesses, non-profit organizations, and start-up capital.

The FIM program requires special dedication and commitment. Therefore, being financially independent and able to focus on the studies is a big advantage. Work can become an impediment to academic success as the stress of working makes it difficult for students to graduate on time, or graduate with the high grades they have the potential to achieve. Therefore, the TUM Management Alumni e.V. and the TUM Fördergesellschaft Controlling e.V, together with the FIM corporate partners offer a scholarship for FIM students to support their education and to enable them to reach their full potential.

Anyone who applies for the FIM program is also eligible to apply for the FIM Scholarship. Our Scholarship is awarded using a variety of factors, including academic achievements, social commitment, financial need and diversity. Each scholarship holder receives EUR 500 per month over the course of two years. Please note that the scholarship funds are limited. We ask applicants to fill out an online application and submit a letter of motivation, a CV and a short pitch video. For more information and the application form please click here. The application deadline is June 15th, 2021.

By receiving a scholarship, we hope that the students will become philanthropic themselves and „give back“ once they are financially able. Furthermore, we would be glad to welcome you to the alumni organization. We connect graduates, students and representatives of the industry. In addition to expanding the network, we also promote education, training, science and research.
