The event was very successful with more than 80 participants of all skill levels attending the golf and networking opportunity. Among those were students, doctoral candidates, alumni (from young professionals to senior members), professors, academic staff, as well as representatives of the corporate partners of the TUM School of Management.
For participants who were completely new to the sport there was an introductory golf section (“Schnuppergolf”) with coaches in which they could practice golf for the first time and learn the ropes. Advanced players with more experience participated in a classic 9-hole golf tournament. After the golf lessons and tournament, an award ceremony took place for the players who participated in the tournament. This year’s winner was Julian Wolz followed by Moritz Schüller who was placed second. Phoebe Pawlik finished third. Moreover, Gabriela Ginard won the special award “Nearest to the pin” which is awarded to the golfer whose ball is nearest to the pin after the first stroke.
Subsequently, all participants gathered for a networking dinner and drinks where once more the main idea of the event was emphasized: Effective networking – students and young professionals were able to make valuable business contacts in order to advance their professional careers, corporate partners and senior members were happy to recruit from TUM School of Management’s outstanding student body – all this in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
