Around 800 graduates of the TUM School of Management celebrated their graduation ceremony on campus together with their families and friends. Under perfect summer skies, the graduation became an unforgettable day full of emotions, pride, and shared memories.
Under brilliant sunshine and summery 30-degree heat, a lively atmosphere prevailed throughout the day. Thanks to the excellent organization and seamless execution, the guests were able to enjoy the day to the fullest. A diverse program of events provided special moments: musical accompaniment by a singer, the sensitive moderation by Silja Wöhrle, and the inspiring words of the Dean of the TUM School of Management, Prof. Dr. Christoph Kaserer, made the celebration a fitting conclusion to a significant chapter in their lives.
The TUM Management Alumni Association also participated in the celebrations, accompanying the graduates on their journey into the alumni network. A special highlight awaited visitors at the association's booth: On the red carpet, graduates and their guests could have their picture taken by a professional photographer, capturing this special moment for posterity.
Over empanadas, a cold beer or an Aperol Spritz, the graduates and their guests toasted their success and enjoyed the summery atmosphere on campus.
Traditionally, the TUM Management Alumni Association also uses the graduation ceremony to present the Dissertation Award for the best dissertation of the year. This year, Dr. Christian Breitung was honored for his outstanding dissertation. „Leveraging the Latest Advances in NLP and AI for Asset Pricing“ Excellent. The work was supervised by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Müller (Professor of Finance). Starting in August, Dr. Breitung will continue his academic career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia in the USA. We warmly congratulate him on this special award and wish him every success in his future endeavors.
